Feel free to ask questions! I think the pictures do a good job explaining how I go about it though.

Nicely done. The clothespin hold down and feather board are pure genius.

Yes well done, I'm sure I'll steal the clothes pin idea for some future jigs..

Not quite catching how that works. Do you have a video?

Are you indexing on the previous saw cut?

Looks like some of us need a bit more elucidation of the operation. Looks like a cool set up, but still don't get the details of how it works.

Thanks,
Max

Step 1: get strips to proper width and height
Step 2: bevel edge with router bit
Step 3: slide under the tensioner with the toothpick glued to it, and continue to feed it through until its under the roller
Step 4: make your first cut.
Step 5: advance by whatever distance you want between kirfs. (you can see I just have a pencil mark to tell me where to stop.

Here's my jig I threw together.... First, I use part of the jig to plane the strip into shape. Then, I turn it around and on the band saw, slide the sled to stop and then move the strip forward and register for the next cut on a thin piece of wood that keeps the distance between cuts equal.

Nils, Didn't mean to hijack your thread... Just sharing what I did. I guess there different ways to do it.

No worries, sharing is what this is all about. [:Y:]

Steve do you pick up the strip and drop it down on the little sliver of wood for each cut? If not how do you use the little sliver to index?
